The Chairman NMA Rivers State, Prof. Chizindu Alikor on behalf of the association, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Nigeria LNG and Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) for the building and setting up of a Haemodialysis and Kidney Transplant Centre in RSUTH which is to be delivered in 12 months. The event took place today, 11th November 2020 at the board room of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.

Having such a centre domiciled in Rivers State will indeed revolutionise the care of patients with renal pathologies and facilitate the training of Nephrologists and Kidney Transplant Surgeons in Rivers State.

NMA is grateful to all who have made this a reality and calls for more of such projects which will ultimately improve the health of our people.
